Anything and Everything

I figured it was about time I updated this thing. I must admit that my last post was basically a filler post. I didn’t have time to write anything, nor did I even know what to write about so I just posted those ugly pictures of me and my sister. So basically it's been a whole month since I last posted! Wow. I know my followers must be really upset! ;)

Anyway, I figured I'd make this more of a post about several different things so it may be a little on the long side. I thought that it would be a good way to post about some things that I could probably dedicate a whole post to if I really wanted but I either wasn't sure if they deserved their own post and/or I know that I would never get around to posting about all of them anyway. Here it goes:

I’ve decided to take up tanning again. I’ve gone through phases where I’ve gone a lot but I haven’t been in about 6 months. I got really tan after living in Key West and spending a lot of the summer in the sun and it’s really surprised me how fast it went away. It’s a little depressing actually. I’m pastey. I know, I know, I’m just paying for skin cancer. But hey, I am my mother’s daughter.

I could easily dedicate a whole post to this next one but I’m not sure I want to electronically post my New Year’s resolutions just to come back next January and see that I didn’t keep them. That doesn’t mean that I’m not writing them on paper or anything but I can easily dispose of that once I’ve given up on the last one. Actually, I’m quite determined to keep them this year. At least the most important ones. I actually haven’t gotten off to a great start seeing as it’s already over a week into January and I haven’t even started them. Now that I'm settled into work and school I'm going to get started on Monday! :)

I will admit that one of my resolutions is to make new friends. I love my friends and all, but a lot of them seem to think that now is the time to get married and all that crap. Who knows what they are thinking, right? So I figure that now is a better time than ever to just make some new ones. Actually, I guess the right way to phrase that would be to just expand my group of friends. Hopefully I can find a way to do that since I’m not that social and living at home.

I’m pretty irate at UVSC right now. I’m sure most of you have heard of ratemyprofessors.com, right? Well I go there every semester to help me decide what teachers to sign up for. Last semester I had an awesome English teacher and did really well in the class. I had the opportunity to sign up for him again but decided that maybe a little variety would be good. So I signed up for this guy who had pretty good reviews on ratemyprofessors and was supposed to be pretty easy (not a lot of papers) but also teach you a lot. I go to the first class on Friday and realize that UVSC has gone and changed the professor to some other lady. Someone I don’t even know about and (after checking her out on ratemyprofessors) certainly would have never signed up for her myself! She didn’t even show up the first day and when we went over the syllabus, I just got even more irate because there is a freaking 25 page research paper! Not to mention effing oral presentations which are my WORST! UGH. It couldn’t really be worse especially because I could’ve been in my last teachers class. At this point I feel like it’s too late to try and add another class because I’ve already missed 2 times. I’m just seriously peeved about it and can’t even think about it without getting all worked up!

Yes, I wear flip flops during the winter. Yes, I realize there is snow on the ground. Yes, my feet get cold sometimes. Yes, I'm going to keep doing it. So what if I wear flip flops all winter long? I like them and they are comfortable. I get so much crap for it but I just don’t want to give in to the fact that I live in a climate that requires me to wear closed toe shoes.

The Austrailian Open starts in a few days. I’m excited to be able to watch Andy Roddick play again. Michelle and I will probably have some late nights and/or early mornings watching him play but I’m looking forward to it!

Christmas was good this year. From Santa I got a new iPod and it’s way nice. I’ve already decided what I want from Santa next year though. My very own puppy that looks just like the picture above. I can’t wait.

Sarah and I went to the Vegas Bowl a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun. Freakin’ BYU football stresses me out but we were very glad that we won! Even if it took having a little bit of luck!

I really want to move out of my house. Bad. Living here really isn’t that bad but I know what it’s like living away from here and I seem to enjoy that a little bit more. I’m definitely moving out for the Summer if not before then. The only requirement is that I have my own room.

Speaking of my room, it’s SO clean right now and it’s so nice! For those of you who know me at all, have ever lived with me, or have even gotten a glimpse of my room know that an extremely clean room doesn’t happen very often! It’s really great having it clean and even though I say this every time I clean it, I really hope I can keep it clean at least for a little while!

So at the beginning of every sports season a few of my friends and I pick out our boyfriends on the teams. We have our Football BF’s and Basketball BF’s. It just makes watching the games a little bit more fun when you have a crush to cheer for a little bit harder than the rest of the team. :) The funny thing is that this year I’ve gotten closer to my B-ball BF than I’ve ever gotten to any of my sports bf’s before. It’s kindof crazy but pretty freaking funny. He may or may not even have my phone number programmed into his cell phone(which I know he'll never call) and we may or may not have had some sort of contact last weekend(which he probably doesn't even remember). But hey, it doesn't matter to me. It's the whole idea that I picked him out before the season even started which makes the story so funny! :) I'm awesome, I know.

And speaking of BF’s…I’ve been missing Lou a little bit more lately. I’m not really sure why but I think it may be due to the fact that it was the holiday’s and everyone seems to have that “Special Someone” and it just sucks because the only reason I don’t right now is because he lives on the other side of the country. It’s just been like this ever since he left after visiting over Thanksgiving. I knew saying goodbye again wasn’t going to be fun but I didn’t imagine it’d be almost worse than the first time. He’s wanting to leave on a mission sometime this summer so I really want to take a trip back to Key West before he leaves. Especially because I’ll probably never go back to Key West after he leaves. Hopefully it all works out and I can go. The only thing stopping me would be money so any donations will be accepted. :)

Another thing that I’m pretty irate about is this new internet blocking thing my dad has put on our computers. It actually has a lot to do with the lack of posting lately. It makes it pretty hard for me to view blogs and it really angers me. I’ll try and be better though.

As I mentioned before all my friends are feeling some sort of need to get engaged/married lately so I’m just going to take this time to say a collective Congrats! Congrats Kristine and Jordan, Devrie and Beni on getting engaged and congrats to McKensie and Jeremy on getting hitched! I hope you all live happily ever after. If you ever need a babysitter, give me a call and I can give you some names of some people who might be interested. :)

Hope you all appreciate the update! :)
