"You don't have any style. You're still stuck in your high school mode."

That is what my sister just said to me about the way that I dress. She said that I still wear simple clothes, just like I did when I was in high school and that the style is changing. I told her I don't like to look homeless or like I'm trying too hard which is what I think a lot of people look like these days. I told her that it is the people who wear all the trendy clothes that I, in fact, think look like they are stuck in high school. But that is just my opinion. Funny thing is, I wear a lot of my sister's clothes.

I know that I don't have the greatest clothes or that I don't have the best style. In fact, everyday I dread having to get dressed because I hate most of the clothes that I own. But I also don't think that I am someone you look at and say, "She has no style." I think that for the most part I am good at realizing what I don't look good in and so I don't wear those clothes, even if they are what is cool and hip right now. I'd rather not look pregnant or obese, thank you. I can recognize a good outfit when I see one but that doesn't mean that I would look good in it. I do not have the ideal body type for the style of clothing that is popular right now and I think I am better off simplifying my style, rather than trying to look totally, freaking awesome, hip, and trendy like everyone else by wearing those clothes. So what if my clothes are simple? I would be more than willing to let Stacy and Clinton of "What Not to Wear" come and trash my wardrobe if it meant them helping me find a whole new one worth $5,000. So there it is. If you think my clothes suck, do something about it and contact the show. But I don't think you'll see them finding me outrageous clothing. I think it would actually be more along the lines of simple.

Halo

What happened to the good old days of Nintendo 64? I've said for the longest time that I don't want to marry someone who plays Nintendo all the time, if even at all. I'm starting to realize that it is going to be nearly impossible to find a guy who fits that criteria. Looks like I'm bound to be a spinster after all! But seriously, what is the deal with boys and the Nintendo these days? Especially that ridiculous game Halo? I will never understand the need to take off a day of work or school to stay home and play a game for 10+ hours. That has to be the biggest waste of time known to mankind. I could probably handle a guy who liked to get out the old N64 and play a good game of Mario Kart or Mario Party, at the least to appease me and my longing for the good old days, but does he even exist in this world of nerd Halo and Madden 2007 players? Doubtful. I'm probably better off just buying myself a dog to keep me company for the rest of my life.

Blog Makeover

My blog has been in desperate need of a make over for a while now. I've spent the last hour and a half trying to figure out how to get it to work and right when I was about to give up and go to bed, I figured it out. I'm not sure how I like it but I'm too tired to play around with it right now. I'll probably be switching it up until I find something I really like but for now, this will have to do. As for me, I'm going to bed. Good night!

Yes Ma'am, Friday Night Lights is FANTASTIC!!

Why does nobody watch this show? It is so fantastic. After finishing the DVD's in about 4 days, it has quickly moved up to my number 2 show right now. Coming in a close second to The Office. It's that good. And they are completely different shows. Last year when all the fall shows were about to start, I kept seeing promo's for this show and thought it looked good and I fully planned on watching it. I read all over the place that it was supposed to be so great and so I got excited. For some reason though, the night it premiered I only got to see part of the episode. Then school started and I had all these other shows I was watching and I never got into it. Over Thanksgiving break there was some mini marathon on and I watched a few episodes. I didn't really know what was going on or who anyone was but it still pulled me in. Back to school and once again, no time to add another show. Then I moved to Key West and towards the end of the season, saw another marathon on Bravo. Loved it. Luckily we had DVR there so I was able to record the rest of the season on NBC. Then, the other day I saw it at Target for only 20 bucks! I couldn't pass that deal up and I bought it. I've spent the last 4 nights crying by myself in my room while watching.

It's just so good, arguably one of the best shows on TV right now(I'm not just saying that. I've read it other places, too!). I really think it's a show that both men and women, boys and girls can all enjoy. There's football, love triangles, good-looking people, storylines about serious issues, great acting(mostly), and the character development is great. You really do care about each character and they just seem so real. If anyone just gave it a chance, I honestly don't know how they wouldn't like it. NBC is even offering a money back guarantee if you buy the DVD season and don't like it. It really isn't necessary though because if you watch it, you will like it. I'd dare say it's in my top 3 or 4 seasons of any show of all time. I couldn't even wait until October 5th when the second season premieres to watch it. I had to watch it on Yahoo last night. Of course I loved it. I'm pretty much obsessed with this show right now, if ya couldn't tell. It has even made me want to move to Texas for a minute. But then I quickly snap back to reality after I remember the heat down there. Maybe I could at least find myself a hot Texan boyfriend who say's "Yes Ma'am" and "Yes Sir" and is totally adorable like Matt Saracen. It just sucks because there's a good chance it could get cancelled this season and I will be totally upset. So go out and buy the DVD, borrow mine, or watch it online! You will love it. Then you can start watching it this fall on Friday's 9/8c.
