Movin' Out

So yesterday I moved into my new apartment. I'm not completely moved in but I'm getting there. I hate the whole moving process. I haven't done it since I moved to and from Key West last year when I had to pack everything into 2 suitcases. That was hard! I met my roommates and luckily they seem pretty cool. We haven't really had a conversation longer than 2 minutes though so we'll see. We've all just been unpacking though so we've all basically been confined to our rooms. We each have our own room so that is going to be way nice. I need some decorations for my room though. It's so bare! I even whipped out the old posters that Kristine and I purchased during our good times as roommates. I don't know that I'll put any of them up, but take a look at my poll and tell me which one you think I should put up, if I decide to do so! My personal choice is Adam Brody (the poster I stole from my klepto roommate a few years ago) because he's a dream boat!

Summa Lovin'

So if you've noticed my new poll then you've probably gathered that I'm moving out on Monday. I am so freakin' excited, it's not even funny. I've been living at home ever since I got back from Key West and seriously, it's time. Time to leave my room downstairs and never come back. Well, that's the plan anyway. We'll see how it goes. I've been thinking of some plans/goals for myself to do this summer. Here are a few of them:

  • Eat lots and lots of Otter Pops.
  • Catch up on LOST. I'm SO behind.
  • Lay out 3 times a week.
  • Go on lots of road trips where I only spend $20 total.
  • Get in shape for the possible trip to Havasupai (Still not a sure thing though, Tawn)
  • Take lots and lots of pictures.
  • Watch a lot of TV.
  • July 11th = Thunder from Down Under.
  • Sleep a lot.
  • Learn how to cook at least one thing.
  • Relive my childhood memories at Disneyland.
  • Go to sleep before midnight at least once a week. HA!
  • SYTYCD.
  • See option 3 on my poll.

Clearly, my plans have AWESOME written all over them and clearly, my priorities are in the right spot. My summer is going to be frickin' awesome. And to think that this is just a smidgen of what I have planned for myself! If anyone is interested in joining me for ANY of these activities, please, don't hesitate to call. ;)

Just another Saturday night in Provo...

One thing that some of my friends and I like to do is go out dancing. Something that I think is normal for single, 21 year old girls to enjoy doing(yeah, I get that this is Provo and we should probably be trying to find a husband or something but I'm over that whole idea). The dancing scene in Provo isn't the greatest but we always try to make it the best we can. Personally, I just enjoy dancing with my girlfriends and don't really care to go and impress any of the guys there. Frankly, I hope that my future husband isn't spending his Saturday nights on Center Street in Provo, dancing with girls who wear clothes that they shouldn't. So needless to say, I'm not going with the idea in my head that I'm going to meet my future spouse or anything, I'm just going for a good time. Last night, we thought about going, but decided against it once we got there because we didn't want to pay for something we knew probably wouldn't be worth the money anyway. So we just chilled outside for a bit talking to some friends that we saw there. At one point, some sort of fight broke out inside and all the "security guards" had to attend to that. So a few of us just walked inside the door to see what was going on/try and get in without having to pay. In all honesty, I don't think we would have stayed longer than 5 minutes anyway but we didn't even have the chance to decide that ourselves before one of the security guards on some power trip randomly yelled specifically at us to "GET OUT!!!". I just pretended like I didn't see him and walked out the door. No later than 3 minutes after that the security guard hunted us down in the crowd of people outside and yelled at us again. This time he told us to "NEVER COME BACK!" Huh? I was so confused. I didn't understand why he'd felt the need to search us out and yell at us, 3 girls who hadn't gone out of our way to do anything to him. When he'd "asked" us to leave the building, we'd left without even a word yet he still felt like he needed to scream at us to never come back again. I mean, really? Really?? Well guess what. We weren't planning on coming back anyway cuz they are LAME. If it wasn't for 16 year old hookers and a bunch of creeps you wouldn't have your minimum wage paying job anyway! Thanks to Mele, we were able to get that message across to at least some of the people there, even if the ugly security guard didn't hear it all. :)

An open letter to the Utah Jazz

Dear Utah Jazz,

On the eve of the playoffs and the wake of another disturbing performance on the road the other night I just want to say, if you don't beat the Rockets in the first round, the Davies household will be a very, very unhappy place and trust me, my family will hate you for losing more than I will. Don't do it.

Regards,
Tara Davies

PS. Kyle, this is grounds for breaking up. You're lucky I'm a forgiving person...

What ARE you doing? Whatever it is, it's definitely not defense and it would be in your best interest to NEVER DO IT AGAIN. Thank you and see you tonight. ;)

Weekly Poll

A few of my friends have started to include polls on their blogs. I decided to add that element to my blog as well. Check out my first poll about a weekly poll in the right corner. (Oh and sorry about the hell word. That's just the type of enthusiasm I want you to have about the polls!;) Just kidding.) I already know that not a lot of people read this blog, which is fine so in all honesty, I only expect a few votes each time but whatev. It gives me something else to do with this blog. Feel free to participate in the poll whenever you please!

Not tagged. Just bored.

Twenty years ago I...
1) was beginning a life-long friendship with McKensie Mulliner
2) was being spoiled by Wacko Grandma (being the first-born grandchild definitely has it's perks!)
3) was 1. I wasn't doing a lot.

Ten years ago I...
1) was getting over my 4 year crush on A.O. and continuing my 3 year crush on B.S.
2) was one of the taller girls in the 6th grade. Pretty sure that only lasted about 1 more year before everyone around me continued to grow while I stayed the same height.
3) was lusting after Bryon Russell and loving the Jazz just as much as I do today. Maybe even more since they were making to the Finals and all that good stuff.

Five years ago I...
1) was playing high school basketball. I know, weird to think I actually played sports at one time.
2) was not doing homework and sluffing school a lot...things haven't changed too much. :)
3) wore an ugly dress to my Junior Prom.

Three years ago I...
1) was dating a short guy who took my VL and wanted to marry me.
2) was at my second semester at BYU and not really loving it.
3) rekindled my love for the best show ever, Felicity.

One year ago I...
1) was living on a tropical island and having the time of my life.
2) didn't surprise anyone when I told them I was making out with a black guy. ;) Oh and he was my boyfriend.
3) was showcasing color-changing tee's to drunken, white-trash slobs.

So far this year I have...
1) traveled back to Key West and almost didn't return.
2) not cried once.
3) been very sleep deprived.

Yesterday I...
1) woke up at 4 to take Lou to the airport.
2) had a phone conversation with someone and can't recall one thing that was said. I don't even remember saying hello.
3) watched Memphis ruin my life by playing like they've never shot a free throw in their lives. WTF. I could've used that money, dang it!

Today I...
1) have been at work since what feels like the butt-crack of dawn...even though it was actually only 9.
2) ate a Double Cheeseburger from McDonald's that was pure luxury.
3) will go home and watch the Jazz beat on stupid New Orleans. Here's hoping anyway.

Tomorrow I will...
1) go to school, I guess.
2) probably watch American Idol.
3) take a test that I will have not studied for.

In the next year I will...
1) watch Andy Roddick play in one tennis match before I lose interest in him due to his recent engagement.
2) travel somewhere that is totally fab and get a killer tan.
3) find my EC at "Marriage Cove". HA! Kidding.

Cradle Robber?

I know I said I like 'em young in my last post and this may be pushing it a little seeing as David Archuleta is 17 years old but good heck, this guy can sing!

Okay, I don't really have a crush on him but seriously, he's good. I could listen to him sing over and over and between you and me, that might not be a far stretch from reality. :)
