David A.
I don't usually watch American Idol (because in all honesty, I don't really like it) until like the very last episode and even at that point, I usually don't really care who wins. I actually have yet to watch a full episode this year. I have, however, heard that this little guy from Utah has got a pretty amazing voice. I looked up his performances on YouTube and I've got to say, he's good. He's just so adorable and so talented! I probably won't start watching the show but will at least keep myself updated on his status and his performances via YouTube. I'm hoping he makes it far!

Looks like I'm moving to the South!
My top 5 cities were:
1. Norfolk, Virginia
2. Memphis, Tennessee
3. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
4. Little Rock, Arkansas
5. Fort Worth, Texas
Out of those 5 I could probably only see myself living in Norfolk, Virginia but I would never think to move there on my own. I would never even consider living in any of the others except for maybe Fort Worth.
Of the rest of the results, I'll tell you a few that I think I would actually like.
In no particular order:
1. Chesapeake-Virgina Beach, Virginia (actually came in 7th place)
My aunt and uncle live there (shout out to Aunt Tami) and I hear it's pretty great.
2. Charlotte, North Carolina (9th place)
Why, I'm not exactly sure but I would consider it.
3. Tampa, Florida (12th place)
I visited there on my way home from Key West last year and I loved it.
4. Austin, Texas (13th place)
It's Texas and I really don't think I'd mind living there some day. Plus my future husband, Andy Roddick, resides in this town. :)
5. Charleston, South Carolina (17th place)
Let's face it. Anywhere near the ocean is a possibility in my mind. And Charleston gets 0" of snowfall each year. Sounds like Heaven to me!
It was quite interesting to see what my results were because like I said, I probably wouldn't think of a lot of those places on my own. It's not like I'm really going to reference this quiz when it comes time to decide where to live in the future but it was fun to do. And the best thing about that quiz is that none of my results were located in Utah! :)

Good Things
That's right. I'm headed back to Key West. I'm super excited to get out of Utah and the snow. Y'all better hope I just come back. It's currently 76 degrees in Key West and 30 degrees in Provo. I'm pretty sure coming back to this crappy weather will be the hardest thing ever. It'll be fun to see some friends from there and to experience Key West without having to worry about going to work and what not, especially now that I'm 21. ;)
On another note, I just can't say it enough but if you are not watching Friday Night Lights, you are seriously missing out. Like, for real. I couldn't love Tim Riggins any more if he were a real person. And if you know me at all you'll know that I'm not usually into the long-haired, greasy drunks. For some reason though, Tim just does it for me.
Just look at him. Yeah, he's a dreamboat. I'll say it right here that if this show gets canceled, I will fall into a deep depression.

Anything and Everything
Anyway, I figured I'd make this more of a post about several different things so it may be a little on the long side. I thought that it would be a good way to post about some things that I could probably dedicate a whole post to if I really wanted but I either wasn't sure if they deserved their own post and/or I know that I would never get around to posting about all of them anyway. Here it goes:

I’ve decided to take up tanning again. I’ve gone through phases where I’ve gone a lot but I haven’t been in about 6 months. I got really tan after living in Key West and spending a lot of the summer in the sun and it’s really surprised me how fast it went away. It’s a little depressing actually. I’m pastey. I know, I know, I’m just paying for skin cancer. But hey, I am my mother’s daughter.
I will admit that one of my resolutions is to make new friends. I love my friends and all, but a lot of them seem to think that now is the time to get married and all that crap. Who knows what they are thinking, right? So I figure that now is a better time than ever to just make some new ones. Actually, I guess the right way to phrase that would be to just expand my group of friends. Hopefully I can find a way to do that since I’m not that social and living at home.
I’m pretty irate at UVSC right now. I’m sure most of you have heard of ratemyprofessors.com, right? Well I go there every semester to help me decide what teachers to sign up for. Last semester I had an awesome English teacher and did really well in the class. I had the opportunity to sign up for him again but decided that maybe a little variety would be good. So I signed up for this guy who had pretty good reviews on ratemyprofessors and was supposed to be pretty easy (not a lot of papers) but also teach you a lot. I go to the first class on Friday and realize that UVSC has gone and changed the professor to some other lady. Someone I don’t even know about and (after checking her out on ratemyprofessors) certainly would have never signed up for her myself! She didn’t even show up the first day and when we went over the syllabus, I just got even more irate because there is a freaking 25 page research paper! Not to mention effing oral presentations which are my WORST! UGH. It couldn’t really be worse especially because I could’ve been in my last teachers class. At this point I feel like it’s too late to try and add another class because I’ve already missed 2 times. I’m just seriously peeved about it and can’t even think about it without getting all worked up!
Yes, I wear flip flops during the winter. Yes, I realize there is snow on the ground. Yes, my feet get cold sometimes. Yes, I'm going to keep doing it. So what if I wear flip flops all winter long? I like them and they are comfortable. I get so much crap for it but I just don’t want to give in to the fact that I live in a climate that requires me to wear closed toe shoes.
The Austrailian Open starts in a few days. I’m excited to be able to watch Andy Roddick play again. Michelle and I will probably have some late nights and/or early mornings watching him play but I’m looking forward to it!
Christmas was good this year. From Santa I got a new iPod and it’s way nice. I’ve already decided what I want from Santa next year though. My very own puppy that looks just like the picture above. I can’t wait.
Sarah and I went to the Vegas Bowl a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun. Freakin’ BYU football stresses me out but we were very glad that we won! Even if it took having a little bit of luck!
I really want to move out of my house. Bad. Living here really isn’t that bad but I know what it’s like living away from here and I seem to enjoy that a little bit more. I’m definitely moving out for the Summer if not before then. The only requirement is that I have my own room.
Speaking of my room, it’s SO clean right now and it’s so nice! For those of you who know me at all, have ever lived with me, or have even gotten a glimpse of my room know that an extremely clean room doesn’t happen very often! It’s really great having it clean and even though I say this every time I clean it, I really hope I can keep it clean at least for a little while!
So at the beginning of every sports season a few of my friends and I pick out our boyfriends on the teams. We have our Football BF’s and Basketball BF’s. It just makes watching the games a little bit more fun when you have a crush to cheer for a little bit harder than the rest of the team. :) The funny thing is that this year I’ve gotten closer to my B-ball BF than I’ve ever gotten to any of my sports bf’s before. It’s kindof crazy but pretty freaking funny. He may or may not even have my phone number programmed into his cell phone(which I know he'll never call) and we may or may not have had some sort of contact last weekend(which he probably doesn't even remember). But hey, it doesn't matter to me. It's the whole idea that I picked him out before the season even started which makes the story so funny! :) I'm awesome, I know.
And speaking of BF’s…I’ve been missing Lou a little bit more lately. I’m not really sure why but I think it may be due to the fact that it was the holiday’s and everyone seems to have that “Special Someone” and it just sucks because the only reason I don’t right now is because he lives on the other side of the country. It’s just been like this ever since he left after visiting over Thanksgiving. I knew saying goodbye again wasn’t going to be fun but I didn’t imagine it’d be almost worse than the first time. He’s wanting to leave on a mission sometime this summer so I really want to take a trip back to Key West before he leaves. Especially because I’ll probably never go back to Key West after he leaves. Hopefully it all works out and I can go. The only thing stopping me would be money so any donations will be accepted. :)
Another thing that I’m pretty irate about is this new internet blocking thing my dad has put on our computers. It actually has a lot to do with the lack of posting lately. It makes it pretty hard for me to view blogs and it really angers me. I’ll try and be better though.
As I mentioned before all my friends are feeling some sort of need to get engaged/married lately so I’m just going to take this time to say a collective Congrats! Congrats Kristine and Jordan, Devrie and Beni on getting engaged and congrats to McKensie and Jeremy on getting hitched! I hope you all live happily ever after. If you ever need a babysitter, give me a call and I can give you some names of some people who might be interested. :)

School's Out

I also went to the Vegas Bowl this weekend with Sarah. We had fun. I'll post some pics later. I got some good ones of our BF's on the team. I'm not exactly sure what comes over me once I'm on the field surrounded by other crazy fans but I seem to have no shame in that situation. Oh well. It makes for great memories! Oh and Merry Christmas tomorrow!

C-Webb
So…this may be completely random but I’m just going to throw it out there anyway. Does anyone know what happened to Chris Webber? Some of you may remember how I used to be a fan back in the day when he played for Sacramento. You may also remember the dance move that Megan was so good at that we named after him. I must admit that I was like a litte fan-girl and it was completely awesome. I gotta say though...just look at him. I don't really know how you couldn't be. I don't care that he may be some sort of criminal, he’s hot stuff. Dev and I had some good times cheering for him when he'd come visit Utah to play the Jazz. Unfortunately, I lost track of him after he got traded and for some reason started wondering about him the other night as I watched the Jazz game. My brothers told me he plays for Detroit these days but I looked it up and I’m not so sure. All I found about him on Google was some letter he received from Bill Clinton years ago. I know there’s at least one person who sometimes reads this blog that probably knows so if you could be so kind to let me know, I’d really appreciate it. It'd be a real tragedy if he could no longer be seen on the court. So just in case, here's another picture for good measure.

Thanksgiving Weekend
On Friday we got a bunch of friends together and headed up to SLC to see the Joseph Smith movie, see the Christmas lights at Temple Square, and grab some dinner. The visitor mentioned above came with and it was a good time. The visitor I'm talking about is the boy that I dated while in Key West. I know all my friends were excited to meet him and so it was fun for them to do that. He has never been out of Florida so the cold was a bit much for him to handle.
Saturday was the day of the big BYU vs. U of U game. Once again, BYU had to take 5 more years off of my life in addition to the 10 that came off during the last minute of last year's game but it was well worth it! We were so excited that we won again and luckily it wasn't too cold outside.
I'm kind of cut off in this picture but this was right after Unga scored that last touchdown. Actually, if we had a video camera to record our reaction, it would be much better. Pretty comical, I'm sure. It's always a good day when the Utes lose, especially when it's to the Cougars!

I'll Miss You!

Today my sister left for Jordan. She's on a flight right now, as I type this, to Chicago with every Osmond imaginable. (I guess they're on their way there for a special on Oprah.) Kelli is going on an Operation Smile mission for 10 days and then she is going to spend a few days in Jerusalem after that. How cool is that? And how jealous are you really? I know I'm jealous. Well, jealous isn't the right word because I'm totally excited for her. I wish I could go with her is what I mean! What an awesome opportunity. Kelli is so amazing and deserves everything and every opportunity that has been given to her. She's one of my best friends and I will surely miss her a lot! The girl she is going with, Tiana, is going to be keeping a blog while they are over there so be sure to check it out. It can be found HERE. Hopefully they will be able to update it pretty often. I guess Microsoft asked her to keep the blog and gave her a laptop to do it. Also, there is going to be a crew from CNN following them around so that'll be cool to see that on the air. Keep Kelli in your prayers. And Happy Birthday to her and Tyler! They turned 18 yesterday. AAGH! That makes me feel so old!

I've Been Tagged!
Here are the rules: A: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves. B: At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leave them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for these rules.
1. I love television shows and I'm not embarrassed to say so! If you've read any past posts on this blog then you probably already know this. I can't help it, the television is my guilty pleasure. I love watching t.v. shows, mostly just good ones, and buying the dvd's and re-watching them later. Especially when there is no school to worry about because then I don't feel guilty!
2. I HATE being cold and wet and I absolutely hate being cold and wet at the same time. This is why when I go boating I'd rather tan on the boat then get in the water. This is why once the snow comes, my attendance to class goes way down (hey, I don't have to walk through the slush). This is why if I had the chance to move to a warm location every December 26th for a good 4 months, I would do it. This is why I think I will be living in a place that doesn't get much snow when I get older. Who in their right mind really likes the bottom of their pants all wet and gross anyway?
3. I love to travel. LOVE IT. I love everything about traveling except the unpacking part when you get home. If I could spend my life traveling, I would. It doesn't have to be to a very exciting place either. I could take a trip to Park City and be satisfied. But I love going somewhere new and seeing what that place has to offer, especially the food :). I love buying souvenirs and meeting new people. I love the airport and flying. I love living out of an overpacked suitcase and being okay with wearing wrinkled clothes. One day I'm afraid that I will travel some where and just not come home.
4. I have secret regrets and wishes. One is that I wish that I never quit playing soccer back in high school. I broke my leg and so quitting for one season was out of my control but ever since I graduated from high school, I've always regretted not playing my senior year. Don't get me wrong or anythying, I'm not Uncle Rico here. It was just something I really enjoyed and think I was pretty good at. Not to mention that the second I decided to not play anymore was the second my fitness did a 180 and my discipline went right with it! Another secret wish I have is that I kind of secretly want a tattoo! I know, disgusting and trashy. You don't have to tell me. Every time I see them on people, especially girls, I automatically think of how trashy it looks but I don't know why I have this desire! It would only be a small one on the back of my neck. Of course I would NEVER get one but I can't deny the fact that I kindof want one. :) Don't judge me. I think it's just a phase I'm going through anyway.
Another wish I have is that I wish I knew how to cook. I really can't cook to save my life. Although, I do love watching the Food Network, especially the Barefoot Contessa. I can't tell if watching the FN depresses me because it makes me feel like I'm a lost cause or if it inspires me. Hopefully this fact about me doesn't have a direct effect on my marital status in the future.
5. I stay up WAY too late for my own good. I honestly cannot remember the last time I went to bed before midnight. How sad is that? I never have a good reason to stay up past midnight either. I'm usually just watching HGTV or a rerun of The Hills. I'm tired ALL the time. I can't even keep my eyes open in class. I find myself drifting off at least once a day. All I have to do is just rest my head on my hands. It's not good. I almost talk myself into thinking that I might have mono or something. Unfortunately I think it's just due to the fact that my eyes won't shut before the clock strikes 12 a.m.
6. Last but not least, I'm a big sports fan. I like watching and I like playing sports. I've got a father and 3 brothers who are obsessed and so naturally, it's a hobby/interest I have taken on. My favorite sport to watch is football, followed closely by basketball. I love to play soccer and basketball as well although I don't do either very often anymore. This is something that will play into choosing a future spouse. I don't think I can marry someone who doesn't like sports. It just wouldn't work out between the two of us, I know it. Call me shallow if you want, but I don't think I'd be able to handle it if I were a better athlete or knew more about sports than my husband. Eww.
Well, there you have it. It was nice and long for you as well. I don't know if I will tag anyone because I only have a few options anyway but if you read this, and would like to participate, consider yourself tagged by me!

Vegas Vacation
Last weekend I took a trip with some friends down to Vegas for the BYU football game. We had a good time and I thought I'd post some pictures. Unfortunately, things didn't get as crazy as we'd hoped but they were still fun regardless.
The drive down wasn't too bad except for the fact that I was forced to listen to music that I didn't know. What is worse on a road trip than listening to music that you don't know all the words to? I can think of only a few things worse than that. We arrived there safely on Friday night and headed out to the strip for the night. Here are some pictures:
Watching the fountains at the Bellagio is always a good time.
Michelle and I were happy that we got to partake in the greatness that is Cheesecake Factory.
After getting hit on by some crazy guys, we went to the gardens at the Bellagio and hit up the slots. I only lost $3 and Michelle lost $5. For the record, Michelle did beat the system and maxed out at $10.80 but I refused to go cash it out for her since she isn't 21. As much as I love Michelle, I wasn't going to walk up there and ask for 10 bucks. But great job Michelle!
Saturday, before the game, we went to the ESPN Zone and played in the arcade where Kristine did beat Jordan in a game of basketball. Check out their red eye! They are meant for each other! :) We also ate at some restaurant that I believe was called America, or something equally as awesome. If you like crappy service and okay food then you'll totally love it. (In other words, don't ever go there. You will regret it.)
The game was fun and I found $20 bucks so I was happy. We won, so that is good! And can I just say that the seats in that stadium down there are quite comfortable. Whoever is in charge of the seats at Lavell Edwards Stadium should seriously consider putting backs on the benches. No one would ever stand up and it would be fantastic!
All in all, it was a good time. Thanks to Jordan's sister for letting us stay at her house and play with her adorable kids. The ride home was probably the best part. We played the Celebrity Name game for 5 hours straight and of course the best team came out on top. Michelle, Eric, and I dominated and pulled out the win right as we pulled into Provo. But needless to say, I will never be playing that game again!

My New Obsession
I have a new T.V. obession. Sad, huh? But I can't help it! I am obsessed with HGTV. The entire channel. I could watch it all day and not even blink. Every night when I get into bed I turn on my tv and if it's not already on channel 45, I immediately turn it to that channel. I mean, here it is 12:30 at night and I'm just browsing aroung HGTV's website. I can be entertained by any show that comes on and I love it. It has made me want to re-do every room in my entire house. Either that or call up HGTV and get my parents on one of the many great shows. Rather than doing that though, I think I'll just have to settle for re-doing my own room and the downstairs bathroom. For now at least. There really is no reason for me to re-do my room since I don't plan on living in it for much longer but I just want to. So I'm going to. Don't ask me when I'm going to find the time to do these things because I honestly have no idea. But I will try. I've been looking at Ikea.com trying to find items that I think would look good but I've been pretty disappointed. I think I'm just going to have to make a trip up there and take a look myself. Luckily the parentals will be funding the bathroom project so that'll be nice. As soon as plans are set in stone I will post some pictures. I'll post some before (which will be completely disgusting) and after pictures. Hopefully all goes well. Thanks a lot HGTV!! We'll see if this ends up being a good or bad thing!
